Engineers are involved with creating and making a product(s). Actually you’ll be designing and making the multi-million dollar machines, plants and overall work processes that make the product. Additionally, Engineers can focus on established businesses while others focus on upstream development.

Engineers:
In Engineering we offer three different career paths and entry points. You choose which path is the most interesting and best fit with your skills and abilities. Take a look at our functional descriptions in "The Work" and see where you could make your best contribution.
Research & Development Engineer (Scientist/Engineer)
Product Supply Engineering (Technical Engineer)
Product Supply Manufacturing (Process Engineer)
Research and Development
Entry and beyond:
Within R&D our primary entry point is Scientist/Engineer progressing to a Senior Scientist/Engineer. After achieving technical success, some technologists opt to develop managerial skills and take on a broader range of project responsibilities. Others choose to focus on their technical specialties.
Product Supply Engineering
Entry and beyond:
As technical mastery increases, you progress from an entry-level Technical Engineer responsible for a specific project, to a Technology Leader, leading a number of projects in a product line. As you progress to Section Head and above, you become responsible for an entire technology area and its people. You may also choose to focus your growth in a technical specialty.
Product Supply Manufacturing
Entry and beyond:
Through specialized training and personal development, you will progress from an entry-level process engineer to leading a team, to leading a department, to ultimately running an entire Manufacturing Site.

Research and Development
Mainstream Degrees/Roles:
We typically hire candidates with degrees in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering.
Specialty Degrees/Roles:

Product Supply Engineering
Mainstream Degrees/Roles:
Degrees in Engineering are predominantly Mechanical, Electrical, Material and Chemical. Potential entry-level positions include, but are not limited to: Packaging and Converting Equipment, Process, Machine and Process Control, Process Analytical, Energy and Safety Systems, and Environmental and Power Systems.
Specialty Degrees/Roles:
Degrees in Engineering disciplines: Specialty engineering positions will be posted on our home page when openings occur. Such roles could include: Project Management, Environmental, Welding and Health & Safety.
Product Supply Manufacturing
Mainstream Degrees/Roles:
Within manufacturing, the majority of entry-level positions are filled by college graduates with a Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering degree.
Potential entry-level positions include but are not limited to Controls Engineer, Process Engineer and other related positions.
Specialty Degrees/Roles:
