![]() ![]() ![]() Contributions (money and/or product) are made for humanitarian purposes to assist with basic needs such as food, shelter and medicine. Humanitarian relief almost always will be associated with natural disasters (flood, earthquake, hurricane) but also will be considered for major man-made disasters, such as a catastrophic accident. We focus primarily on communities where P&G operations are physically located. P&G makes contributions to established relief agencies that are capable of receiving and distributing aid in a fair, efficient and effective way, including the American Red Cross, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, UNICEF, United Way International, Population Services International and Feeding America®. This means that before a disaster strikes, we have already committed to providing aid. Our contributions insure that teams are trained, disaster trucks are ready to roll throughout the world and emergency communications systems are in place. During a crisis situation:
